A Human male named Kolig operated as a bounty hunter and criminal within the galaxy. He functioned as the de facto leader of the bounty hunter group, Qulok's Fist, while also serving as the pilot and owner of their primary vessel, the Steel Fist, a significantly upgraded YT-1300 light freighter. Possessing a presentable demeanor and affable nature, Kolig spearheaded the organization of their operations, frequently going undercover to assess potential targets. Around 8 ABY, while operating in the Kathol sector of the Outer Rim Territories, Kolig and Qulok's Fist found themselves under the employ of Moff Kentor Sarne, the Imperial warlord of the region. Their task was to monitor the movements of the New Republic CR90 corvette FarStar, which had been dispatched to track Sarne following his retreat from the sector capital of Kal'Shebbol after its liberation by New Republic forces. Eventually, at Sarne's command, Kolig and his crew engaged the FarStar in the Shintel system, inflicting damage upon the corvette before strategically withdrawing.
As a male Human, Kolig belonged to the bounty hunter group Qulok's Fist, a collection of individuals including Thanis Gul-Rah, Sufar, and [Padak], who participated in various illicit activities like bounty hunting, smuggling, slavery, and mercenary work. He was the unofficial leader, and the brains behind the group. Kolig also owned and piloted the Steel Fist, a modified YT-1300 light freighter from Corellian Engineering Corporation, which served as Qulok's Fist's mobile headquarters. Over many years, Kolig customized the ship to his liking and was angered by anyone who damaged it.
Kolig's primary responsibility was organizing the group's operations, but he would often assist in ground missions. He was considered the most sociable member of Qulok's Fist, and often pretended to be a free-trader or freelance pilot when investigating potential targets. At one point, Kolig and Qulok's Fist rescued Sufar, a Corellian criminal, from Imperial bounty hunters. Sufar, who was being hunted for a series of murders, joined their group, and they tracked down the bounty hunters, allowing Sufar to torture them to death. During the early years of the New Republic, the group operated in the Outer Rim Territories, eventually passing through the Minos Cluster and arriving in the Kathol sector around 7 ABY. While in the Kathol sector, they also worked for Moff Kentor Sarne, the local Imperial warlord. During one hunt on a remote planet, a local settlement was massacred. This caused Thanis Gul-Rah to leave the group and settle on Kal'Shebbol, the sector capital.
In 8 ABY, after New Republic forces liberated Kal'Shebbol, Moff Sarne was forced to retreat into the Kathol sector. Upon learning that the FarStar, a New Republic CR90 corvette, had been ordered to track him, Sarne hired Kolig and Qulok's Fist to monitor the corvette and gather intelligence on its movements.

After Qulok's Fist had shadowed the FarStar for a time, Sarne contacted them and informed them of a plan he was putting into motion to delay the corvette in the Shintel system. Sarne had arranged for the FarStar to divert to the planet Shintel by using a deep cover agent on Gandle Ott, Colonel Olaver Lansel, to pass on information to the corvette's command crew. The information indicated that Sarne's destination upon leaving Gandle Ott was the Shintel system, and the crew duly followed the lead to pursue the rogue Moff. At Shintel, the vessel discovered an Imperial base that Sarne had abandoned since he believed the personnel stationed there were more loyal to the Empire than to Sarne himself. During the corvette's visit to Shintel, another agent, Lieutenant Palme, managed to upload a computer virus into the FarStar's systems that caused the hyperdrive to blow out when the crew attempted to engage it to leave the system. Kolig and Qulok's Fist were to journey to the system and attack the corvette in a hit-and-fade operation. Upon arriving, the gang found the corvette stranded, as Sarne had planned. Piloting the Steel Fist, Kolig launched several quick attacks on the FarStar before retreating as the ship began to recover. The corvette sustained minor damage, as Sarne only intended to harass the vessel. The Moff wanted the FarStar to follow him, which in turn would draw other New Republic forces into a trap he was preparing so he could destroy them in one fell swoop.
Kolig had dark skin and black hair that was neatly kept on top but long in the back, along with a thin, curled mustache. He was a skilled and ruthless combatant. He carried two heavy blaster pistols and understood combat tactics, knowing when to attack and when to retreat. He also understood that he wouldn't be able to spend any credits if he died due to a mistake. Kolig also strongly disliked aliens, believing they should be enslaved. He believed that the more exotic the species, the more deserving it was of captivity.
Kolig was presentable, dashing, calm, and confident. He was a smooth operator, equally comfortable infiltrating targets and engaging in combat. He was a skilled pickpocket and charming to women, but he couldn't handle rejection. Despite his calmness, he could be set off by small annoyances, including rejection from women. He was also very proud of and protective of the Steel Fist, and hated anyone who damaged it.
Kolig was an accomplished pilot, capable of flying space transports, especially YT-1300 series vessels, and navigating through hyperspace. He could operate the sensor, weapons, and shield systems on board, and he was also an engineer who could repair and modify space transports and their weaponry. He had knowledge of planetary systems, and typically wore a pilot's flak jacket and carried a communications headset and comlink.
Kolig was created for The DarkStryder Campaign, a supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games that was released in 1995. He was featured in the "Rogues Gallery" section, written by Peter M. Schweighofer, to be used by Gamemasters in original adventures. Kolig later appeared indirectly in the adventure Shintel Downtime, where he could only be found on his ship, the Steel Fist, with the rest of Qulok's Fist.
