Sufar, a male Human originating from a Corellian colony world, was a fugitive. He faced banishment from his homeworld in 2 BBY due to his involvement in multiple murders. While evading Imperial bounty hunters, he found refuge with Qulok's Fist, a compact criminal organization involved in activities such as bounty collection, smuggling, slavery, and mercenary assignments. After eliminating the bounty hunters who pursued him, Sufar and Qulok's Fist conducted operations across the Outer Rim Territories, the Minos Cluster, and the Kathol sector. The group occasionally collaborated with Moff Kentor Sarne, the Imperial warlord governing the Kathol sector, and at his request, they engaged in combat with the New Republic CR90 corvette named FarStar within the Shintel system.
Sufar, a male Human, experienced his birth and upbringing on a Corellian colony world. He transitioned into a life of crime, convinced that killing potential threats was his only path to survival. Around 2 BBY, he was expelled from his planet following a series of murders he perpetrated. A bounty was issued for Sufar's capture, prompting attempts by Imperial bounty hunters to claim the reward. He was rescued by Qulok's Fist, a small group of criminals and bounty hunters active in the Outer Rim Territories, which included members like Kolig, Padak, and Thanis Gul-Rah. Sufar joined their ranks, and together, they apprehended the hunters pursuing him; subsequently, the Corellian subjected them to torture until their deaths.
Sufar and Qulok's Fist carried out operations throughout the Outer Rim Territories, eventually expanding into the Minos Cluster and later the Kathol sector. Within the Kathol sector, the group found employment under Imperial Moff Kentor Sarne, who had declared himself a warlord amidst the Empire's fragmentation following the Battle of Endor. Sufar also participated in a hunt on a remote world that escalated into a massacre of the local population. This event led Thanis Gul-Rah to leave the gang and establish residence on Kal'Shebbol, the sector's capital.
In 8 ABY, New Republic forces liberated Kal'Shebbol. Despite securing the planet, Sarne managed to escape with the majority of his fleet into the Kathol sector. Upon learning that the New Republic had assigned the CR90 corvette FarStar to hunt him down, Sarne contacted Qulok's Fist and enlisted their assistance in tracking the vessel and providing him with updates on its movements.
After several weeks into the assignment, Sarne reestablished contact with Qulok's Fist and shared a scheme he had conceived to launch an attack on the FarStar within the Shintel system. The corvette's command crew had received misleading information about Sarne's whereabouts from Colonel Olaver Lansel, a deeply embedded agent stationed on the planet Gandle Ott. This information directed them to Shintel, where Sarne had previously established a supply depot, which he had subsequently abandoned during his retreat into the Kathol sector. There, another deep-cover agent, Lieutenant Palme, introduced a virus into the corvette's computer systems. When the New Republic vessel attempted to enter hyperspace, the virus triggered an overload in the hyperdrive engines. Sufar was part of the crew aboard the Steel Fist, Qulok Fist's primary spacecraft, during a brief engagement with the FarStar before the gang withdrew from combat since Sarne only wished to harass the New Republic vessel. The warlord's intention was to use the FarStar as bait in a trap designed to draw a substantial New Republic force into a battle of his design, allowing him to eliminate any opposition and regain unchallenged control over the Kathol sector.
Sufar possessed a cold- blooded nature as a murderer, displaying both subtlety and sophistication. Devoid of honor, he exuded a savage aura. Living to kill, Sufar believed it was essential for his survival. He constantly assessed individuals as potential targets, analyzing their strengths and weaknesses. In his view, everyone posed a potential threat that needed to be eliminated. The other members of Qulok's Fist were the only individuals that Sufar remotely considered to be friends. He had blond hair that he kept cut short and light skin.
Sufar employed a diverse array of methods to kill his victims. Preferring to operate covertly rather than engage in direct confrontation, he utilized poisons and bombs to eliminate his targets, along with advanced technological solutions such as slicing computer systems to orchestrate various accidents. Trained in the use of blasters, he was proficient in both hand-to-hand and melee combat. Sufar could pilot repulsorlift vehicles and operate weapon systems on smaller starships. He also received training in first aid. Sufar armed himself with a blaster carbine, and carried a hold-out blaster and a knife for additional defense. He also used detonite with timer fuses, and employed a security override kit when necessary.
Sufar's creation occurred for The DarkStryder Campaign, which served as a supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. Sufar was featured in the "Rogues Gallery" section, penned by Peter M. Schweighofer, and was included to enable Gamemasters to incorporate him—along with Qulok's Fist—into original adventures. Qulok's Fist later appeared in the adventure titled Shintel Downtime, although encounters with them were limited to their ship, the Steel Fist.
