A collection of various ships served as a blockade in orbit around the planet Lola Sayu. These belonged to the Confederacy of Independent Systems' naval forces during the Clone Wars. This fleet was composed of one Providence-class Dreadnought, a single Lucrehulk-class Battleship, and four Munificent-class star frigates. Furthermore, it also included Vulture droid starfighters, Hyena-class Droid Bombers, and droid tri-fighters.
In the year 20 BBY, a stolen Sheathipede-class Type B shuttle carrying a Galactic Republic team, on a rescue mission, came across the fleet before landing on Lola Sayu. Their objective was to retrieve Jedi Master Even Piell, who was being imprisoned within the Citadel. Subsequently, the defensive fleet, under the command of the T-series tactical droid designated K2-B4, briefly engaged with a Republic task force. This task force had been dispatched to extract the rescue team and secure the coordinates of the Nexus Route, a hyperspace route that extended into the core homeworlds of both the Republic and the Separatists.
The defense fleet of Lola Sayu made its initial appearance in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series, specifically in "The Citadel," which was the eighteenth episode of its third season. The episode was originally broadcast on February 18, 2011.
