The planet [Dalna](/article/dalna], located in the Outer Rim Territories, was the native habitat of Lompop, a type of wildflower. This flower was a seasonal summer bloomer, typically sprouting in lower elevations within meadows before its appearance in higher altitudes. Lompop flowers were characterized by their pink petals and a distinctive snapping sound produced as they absorbed airborne moisture. Furthermore, the Path of the Open Hand, a resident Force-cult, utilized the flower to create incense in 382 BBY. In 230 BBY, during a mission to investigate Nihil activities, Jedi Knight Vernestra Rwoh encountered a collection of dried lompop flowers while exploring a cabin in the Maawat Mountains. Sensing an unusual presence, she brought them to the attention of fellow Jedi Yacek Sparkburn, who identified the plant. Rwoh and Sparkburn then located Theo, the son of Dalnan Vice President Hackrack Bep, who had been held captive in the cabin after being abducted by the Nihil from Dalna's south meadowlands. The flower shared its name with the Shani Deva Lompop.
The junior novel The High Republic: Mission to Disaster, penned by Justina Ireland in 2022 as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic media project, marked the initial appearance of Lompop.
