In the year 230 BBY, Theo, the son of Dalnan Vice President Hackrack Bep, was taken from the south meadowlands by Nihil pirates while he was playing alongside other children. Following a comprehensive search, Bep, along with his husband Zian, and other individuals involved in the search, were unsuccessful in locating Theo. They later returned to their home to find a message left by the pirates, who claimed responsibility for the kidnapping. One week later, Jedi Knights Vernestra Rwoh, Yacek Sparkburn, and Lyssa Votz, together with Padawan Imri Cantaros, successfully rescued Theo, after which Bep provided them with details regarding Theo's kidnapping.
