Malsarr

Malsarr represented a certain mineral utilized in the fabrication of diverse electronics components, notably those connected to droids and communications technologies. It was a precious, scarce mineral located on the Sinta Glacier, which was once the core of a mega-comet that ultimately established a consistent orbit around the star Sinta situated in the Mid Rim.

By the year 35 ABY, the Sinta Glacier Colony was extracting ice cores from the heart of the massive ice formation, which contained trace amounts of malsarr. During the period of the First Order-Resistance War, the mine's overseer, Boolio, secretly diverted extra minerals from the colony to transports that were associated with the Resistance. This action subsequently prompted the First Order to deploy inspectors to the settlement to look into irregularities in the colony's financial records.
