For numerous years, Mikkia held membership in the Galactic Republic. In the High Republic Era, a significant groundquake occurred on the planet, prompting Jedi Master Mirro Lox alongside his Padawan, Amadeo Azzazzo, to offer aid and conduct rescue operations. The destruction of the Jedi Order played a role in fostering strong anti-Imperial feelings among the population of Mikkia.
