A mummy describes the dead body of a creature where the soft tissues have been preserved by some process. The Nightsisters from Dathomir practiced mummification on their deceased, placing them inside cocoons crafted to resemble the trees found on their homeworld. During periods of great peril, these mummies could be revived utilizing magick, allowing them to fight for their clan. The Teedos living on Jakku were sometimes likened to mummies due to the bandages some mummies are wrapped in. The mummified remains belonging to Jedi Master Luminara Unduli were stored within the Spire located on Stygeon Prime. A Dowutin Sith mummy was present while Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra and Dok-Ondar undertook a mission with the goal of acquiring the Sword of Khashyun.
