Sword of Khashyun

The Sword of Khashyun, a Sith artifact, was supposedly crafted by a group of Dowutin Sith warriors. These warriors scorned lightsabers, deeming them weapons for the weak. Legends told of a curse upon the sword, said to have incited infighting among the Sith. Sometime in the past, the sword was split in two. The hilt eventually became the property of Dok-Ondar, an Ithorian collector, who displayed it in Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities on Batuu. Kendoh Voss, along with the Kendoh Gang, attempted to pilfer the sword's hilt, already in possession of the other half of the ancient relic.

Behind the scenes

The Sword of Khashyun was originally made as a prop for the Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities shop within the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme park area. The sword's backstory was further developed in the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge comic series, with writing by Ethan Sacks and illustrations by Will Sliney. Though the sword received its initial mention, though not explicitly, in the first issue of the series, released by Marvel Comics on April 24, 2019, its visual appearance was delayed until the opening of the Galaxy's Edge theme park land to the public at Disneyland on May 31 of that same year. The fourth issue of the comic series, which was published on July 31, 2019, was where the sword's name was first revealed.
