Musmuris Reetgeet, a Ranat, fought for the Alliance to Restore the Republic and subsequently the New Republic during the Galactic Civil War. A participant in the pivotal Battle of Jakku, Reetgeet, along with their squad, was given the mission by General Carlist Rieekan to infiltrate and seize the Imperial Immobilizer 418 cruiser known as the Glaciate.
During the Imperial Era, Reetgeet became a member of the Rebel Alliance, which later evolved into the New Republic. Being a Ranat, Reetgeet faced prejudice and was kept on the sidelines until the Battle of Jakku. Despite lacking prior experience aboard an Imperial starship, Reetgeet was selected to be part of a squad tasked with capturing the Immobilizer 418 cruiser Glaciate during the battle above Jakku. Their unique skills included the ability to perceive infrared light and powerful teeth capable of gnawing through duracrete plating.
Reetgeet's fellow squad members were all former Imperial personnel. Reetgeet and the team utilized a captured Imperial assault shuttle to board the Glaciate. They created a breach in the hull and gained entry through the engine room. After battling their way through the ship, the New Republic boarding party reached a secure chamber and removed their space suits. Reetgeet then employed their acute sense of smell to navigate the ship's internal systems while the others provided cover. Moving through the ventilation shafts, Reetgeet arrived at the reactor governor and installed the New Republic's bypassed code, effectively disabling the Glaciate. As his comrades contacted General Carlist Rieekan, Reetgeet relished the victory, gazing through the porthole and dreaming of a promotion to captain.
Musmuris Reetgeet, being a Ranat, possessed small eyes that could see infrared light, prominent incisors, and extremely sharp teeth. Reetgeet joined both the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic, but experienced prejudice within those organizations, leading to being sidelined until the Battle of Jakku. Reetgeet's keen sense of smell proved crucial in navigating the Immobilizer 418 cruiser Glaciate and deactivating its reactor governor, which enabled the New Republic to capture the vessel. Reetgeet aspired to the rank of captain.
The character of Musmuris Reetgeet was first referenced in the 2017 reference work Star Wars: On the Front Lines, authored by Daniel Wallace.
