N-1 starfighter pilots, Rhys Dallows and Essara Till, are depicted entering the canyon. On Naboo, near Theed, existed the Naboo training canyon, which served as a practice area for Bravo Flight pilots. To simulate combat, holoprojectors were positioned throughout the canyon to project holographic Dagger starfighters, providing targets for pilots in training. Rhys Dallows was trained by Essara Till via a run through this canyon, culminating in a simulated dogfight where Dallows emerged victorious. Furthermore, the canyon was suitable for racing events and mock aerial battles. Following the Invasion of Naboo that began in 32 BBY, the Naboo Resistance established a base located at the canyon's end. Dallows led Reti through the canyon with captured munitions to rendezvous with the resistance. Dallows supported the resistance by helping them defeat Trade Federation forces that were attacking the base, thereby ensuring the successful delivery of the supplies.
The 2001 video game Star Wars: Starfighter features the Naboo training canyon. Additionally, it is present in the game's strategy guide. A bonus mission in the game, titled Canyon Sprint, is set in this canyon, and involves a race between Dallows and other characters piloting their respective starships.
