Naldar

Naldar, a world situated in the Phelleem sector of the Outer Rim, experienced significant Imperial hostility during the Galactic Civil War. It endured an offensive in 2 ABY that resulted in the deaths of most of its royal family. Subsequently, in 4 ABY, another Imperial assault subjugated the planet. Ultimately, Princess Vila, the only remaining member of the royal lineage, came back accompanied by a force from the Alliance of Free Planets, which put an end to the Imperial presence on Naldar.

Description

Naldar, a planet located within the Phelleem sector of the Outer Rim, provided a comfortable habitat for Humans. It was geographically near the planet Belderone.

History

Following the Battle of Hoth, many refugees from Belderone sought sanctuary on nearby Naldar after their own world was subjugated by the Galactic Empire. Naldar itself was attacked by the Galactic Empire in 2 ABY. While the planet initially put up a fight against the invasion, Prince Denin was killed while protecting the rest of the royal family.

After the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Imperial forces, under the command of the Dark Jedi Flint, finally succeeded in conquering the planet. Princess Vila, the last living member of Naldar's royal family, disguised herself as her deceased brother Denin—who had expressed a desire to become a Jedi Knight—and requested assistance from the Alliance of Free Planets on Endor. She returned with a small group led by Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker, who, along with Flint's childhood friend Barney, successfully convinced Flint to halt the attack. However, Vila tragically died, absorbing a stormtrooper's blaster shot that was meant for Flint.
