On the Nabooian moon called Rori, there existed a swamp known as the Narmle Swamp. This wetland was situated in the area between Lake Octir Swamp and Narmle Bog. Its designation originated from the city of Narmle, which had been constructed within its murky depths.
The Narmle Swamp initially made its debut in the video game Star Wars Galaxies released in 2003. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before it was shut down on December 15, 2011. The name of the swamp was found in the description of the city of Nashal, which players saw when selecting their starting location for a new character. When Mos Eisley became the universal starting city with the launch of "Publish 17" on May 26, 2005, these descriptive texts were removed.
