Nepotis was a planet abundant in water, found within both the Outer Rim Territories and the Slice. Its location was specified as grid square T-9 on the Standard Galactic Grid.
The Nephran, a sentient species of crustaceans that communicated using the Nepotisian language, considered Nepotis their homeworld. Therm Scissorpunch, a Nephran businessman who was operating around 10 BBY, originated from Nepotis. Later, this planet appeared in an artist's journal that focused on the Nephran. This entry highlighted the scarcity of information regarding the Nephran's past on Nepotis. The journal was eventually enhanced, improved, and put on display at the Graf Archive sometime after 34 ABY.
The reference book Star Wars: Alien Archive, authored by Natalie Clubb and Katrina Pallant, first presented Nepotis in 2018.
