Nixus was a planet situated in the Outer Rim Territories, characterized by its icy conditions. Even though it was a world of glaciers and weak gravity, it was not unlivable; in fact, it contained a building known as Nixus Hub 218. Many people lived in and visited Hub 218, and at one point it became the chosen place for an agreement between crime lords Azmorigan and Cikatro Vizago. However, Hondo Ohnaka, a pirate, imprisoned Vizago on his own vessel and tried to complete the transaction himself, along with Ezra Bridger, a rebel. Azmorigan, however, did not want to do business with Ohnaka or Bridger, and he transformed the Nixus Hub into a war zone. The three participants all got away unharmed. Later, after Ohnaka disclosed that two Lasat runaways, Chava and Gron, were on the planet, Bridger came back with members of the Spectres. A brief gunfight broke out, and the two runaways were taken to rediscover the Lasat's ancient homeworld, Lira San.
