Facing defeat, a B1-series battle droid identified as B1-CC14 activated the emergency beacon and initiated a jump to a random location in hyperspace.
Following this event, the cruiser suffered a crash landing on the isolated desert planet known as Ponemah Terminal, specifically within its hazardous south polar area. The wreckage, containing Kix still in his cryo-cycle stasis pod, remained undiscovered for more than fifty years until an ionic storm triggered the reactivation of the Obrexta III's distress signal. Over the years, the starship had gained notoriety for supposedly holding a treasure of immense value to Count Dooku, sparking a race among various pirate groups to be the first to seize the ship's contents.
