Ormo Hyn, a relation of a Felucian chieftain, was a supporter of the Galactic Republic throughout the Clone Wars. Shu Mai, the president of the Commerce Guild, took Hyn as a hostage, intending that this act of abduction would convince the Felucians to align themselves with the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In 19 BBY, Jedi Master Aayla Secura commanded the 327th Star Corps, a unit of clone troopers, in their mission to the planet Felucia with the goal of capturing Mai and securing Hyn's release; however, Secura was executed by her own troopers during the events of Order 66, and Mai, who had already departed Felucia, met her end on the planet Mustafar.
The first mention of Ormo Hyn occurred in the 2021 reference publication, Star Wars: Battles that Changed the Galaxy. The storyline bears resemblance to the 2004–2005 Star Wars Legends StarWars.com webstrip titled Reversal of Fortune, where Jedi Knight Barriss Offee and her Padawan Zonder were captured instead.
