The 327th Star Corps was a corps of the Grand Army of the Republic, a military unit comprised of clone troopers specifically bred to serve the Galactic Republic in combat. This unit was under the leadership of Jedi General Aayla Secura and her dependable clone Commander, Bly; the 327th engaged the Separatist droid armies across numerous planets throughout the galaxy. As the Clone Wars neared their end, a contingent of 327th troopers executed Secura, acting on the directives of Order 66.

The 327th Star Corps, a corps in the Grand Army of the Republic, was led by Jedi General Aayla Secura alongside Clone Marshal Commander Bly. Initially, at the onset of the Clone Wars, the 327th Star Corps utilized the standard Phase I clone trooper armor. They later opted to replace their initial armor with the superior Phase II variant. The clones personalized this updated armor with signature marigold markings, identifying their affiliation to the 327th. Complementing this unique color scheme, the 327th's soldiers incorporated pauldrons and kamas into their uniform.
In 22 BBY, following the Clone Wars' eruption at the First Battle of Geonosis between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance, the 327th Star Corps was integrated into the newly established Grand Army of the Republic and placed under the command of Jedi General Aayla Secura, with leadership in the hands of Clone Marshal Commander Bly.
During the conflict, Jedi Quinlan Vos obtained intelligence concerning a novel Separatist droid. Subsequently, Aayla Secura and a company from the 327th were dispatched to Escander, a planet characterized by its muddy terrain, where a Separatist installation was situated. Shortly after their arrival, they faced an assault from Separatist battle droids, which led to Commander Bly sustaining injuries. Due to Bly's incapacitation, another clone trooper assumed command of the company. Secura instructed her troops, including the aforementioned trooper and Flash, to hold their position while she proceeded to investigate the Separatist base independently.
After losing communication with their general, the clones attempted to contact Aayla, inadvertently revealing her location. Disobeying orders, they resolved to infiltrate the base in an attempt to rescue Aayla. Eventually, the clones gained access to the base and discovered Aayla undergoing interrogation by Asajj Ventress, who disclosed that she had intentionally leaked the intelligence to ensnare the Jedi. The clones then activated the remaining droids to create a diversion, allowing themselves and Aayla Secura to escape to safety.
Early in the Clone Wars, personnel from the 327th Star Corps were stationed on board three Venator-class Star Destroyers, including Secura's flagship, the Liberty, when they engaged several Separatist Munificent-class star frigates, which culminated in the Battle of Quell.

During the confrontation, the Republic forces found themselves overwhelmed and requested reinforcements from Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and his contingent. By the time Skywalker's flagship, the Resolute, arrived, Secura's flagship was the only remaining Republic vessel and was under siege by B2-RP super battle droids. During the Separatist boarding operation, Secura tasked Commander Bly with repelling the enemy forces. Ultimately, Secura, Bly, and Flash were rescued by Skywalker, accompanied by his Padawan Ahsoka Tano, Clone Captain Rex, and 501st troopers Cameron and Lucky. Together, they successfully evacuated to a Consular-class cruiser, although Skywalker suffered critical injuries during the escape. As the cruiser attempted to dock with the Resolute amidst the battle, it was targeted by vulture droid starfighters, which inadvertently activated the ship's hyperdrive, forcing the cruiser to take evasive action to prevent a catastrophic collision with the Resolute as it entered hyperspace.

After narrowly avoiding a collision with Maridun's star, the cruiser crash-landed on the surface of Maridun. Following their escape from the wreckage and the establishment of a camp, Captain Rex maintained watch over the camp and Skywalker, while the remaining individuals, including Cameron, Flash, and Lucky, sought assistance from any potential inhabitants. After encountering Mastiff phalones which resulted in the deaths of Cameron, Flash, and Lucky, the group located a Lurmen village and appealed for aid. The leader, Tee Watt Kaa, reluctantly dispatched his son, Wag Too to escort Bly and Tano back to the campsite and retrieve Skywalker and Rex.
At a later time, a Separatist C-9979 landing craft arrived, compelling the Republic team to evacuate and conceal themselves within the tall grass. Separatist General Lok Durd and his forces proceeded to ransack the Lurmen village in search of any Republic contraband. The 327th later returned to Quell between 20 BBY and 19 BBY for another battle, which took place on Quell's surface under Secura's command.

In 19 BBY, the 327th was deployed to Felucia with the mission of capturing Separatist Council member Shu Mai. The 327th was equipped with a variety of vehicles, including All Terrain Attack Pods, All Terrain Open Transports, and All Terrain Tactical Enforcers. While advancing through the Felucian jungle towards a Separatist military force, the 327th received Order 66 from Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, instructing them to eliminate their Jedi leader. Consequently, Secura was fatally shot in the back on multiple times by her own troopers, including Bly and Lieutenant Galle.
The 327th Star Corps made its debut in the 2005 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, part of the Star Wars saga. Its designation was first revealed on the StarWars.com Encyclopedia entry for Clone Commander Bly, published in 2014. At Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022, a helmet representing the 13th Battalion was presented as one of eight collectible pins within the Mystery Helmets Collection, identified as belonging to the 327th Star Corps.
