The planet known as Maridun followed an orbital path around this star. In the era of the Clone Wars, a Consular-class cruiser belonging to the Galactic Republic, with Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, Jedi General Aayla Secura, Clone Captain Rex, and Clone Commander Bly at the helm as pilots, and carrying the wounded Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker along with a number of clone troopers, almost collided with this star. This near-disaster occurred due to the input of faulty coordinates, a consequence of damage sustained by the navicomputer during the Battle of Quell against the forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
The star of Maridun made its debut appearance in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 1 episode titled "Jedi Crash."
