Across the galaxy, the Otoga-222 maintenance droids functioned as repair technicians. During the Boonta Eve Classic event in 32 BBY, Podracer pilot Ben Quadinaros utilized his own Otoga-222 unit. Furthermore, in 22 BBY, one such Otoga-222 droid was available for purchase at Watto's junkshop located in Mos Espa. A Nuna-ball League match was displayed on one of the screens within the Outlander Club, pitting a squad of Otoga-222 droids against a team of RIC-series general labor droids.
During the period of the Cold War, multiple blue-plated Otoga droids were observed on the space station called the Colossus, where they performed duties as labor droids such as loading boxes onto cargo ships and carrying out maintenance tasks. Several Otoga units with black plating operated as service droids inside the Aces' Lounge, where they provided beverages to members of the Ace Squadron.
