Outlander

Outlander, also referred to as Ootman in the Huttese language, was a descriptor applied to someone not originating from a particular planet, or to anyone perceived as an outsider to a given culture or lifestyle.

History

Due to Prince Arcann's declaration following Emperor Valkorion's demise in 3636 BBY, the leader of the Alliance opposing the Eternal Empire became known as "The Outlander." This was their title.

Watto used this term as a way to refer to Qui-Gon Jinn during the Jedi Master's visit to Tatooine in 32 BBY.

The Haariden soldiers, whom the Force Blank Granta Omega hired to assault the Jedi on their planet, called him an "outlander" in 26 BBY. This occurred during his attempt to seize control of bacta marketing through a titanite mining operation. The troops couldn't recall anything about Omega's appearance, and had no memory of what he looked like.

In 23 BBY, Princess Calvaria of Fondor's jungle-moon Nallastia labeled the parents of Klay Firewell as "outlanders." She accused them of trespassing and having an inappropriate (poaching) interest in the "sacred creatures of Nallastia."

Before the Clone Wars in 22 BBY, the small Gwurran nomad Tooqui—an Ansionian pygmy who pilfered supplies from the Jedi on Ansion—referred to Padawan Barriss Offee as "small-head outland big-lips" and the Jedi party accompanying her as "nasty ugly outlander strangers."

In that same year, Voyla called Passel Argente an outlander upon his arrival on Ryloth. Additionally, Anakin Skywalker was given the name "Demon Outlander" by the Tusken Raiders after he slaughtered a Tusken Raider camp for the murder of his mother.
