P3 was among the three Sphyrna-class Hammerhead corvettes dispatched by Senator Bail Organa to bolster the rebel unit under Commander Jun Sato's command. Its faded yellow and orange markings were a distinguishing feature of P3.
Before the outbreak of the Galactic Civil War, Senator Bail Organa sent the ship P3, along with P1 and P2, to provide support to Phoenix Cell, the Rebellion unit commanded by Commander Jun Sato. To conceal Organa's allegiance to the rebellion from the Galactic Empire, a scheme was devised to make it appear as though the three ships had been stolen. The Spectres, a cell operating under Sato, seized the vessels during a raid conducted on the planet Lothal.
At some point following its integration into the Phoenix fleet, P3 came under attack in space by Maul, the former Sith Lord, who sought to capture the Ghost's crew. Maul inflicted substantial damage upon the corvette and subsequently boarded it. Despite a valiant resistance from the crew, they proved unable to defeat Maul, resulting in the deaths of all but one pilot and an astromech droid. Maul compelled these survivors to transmit a distress signal to the Ghost before taking them captive upon its arrival. Subsequently, Maul abandoned the damaged corvette in space, where it was later discovered by Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus, who then found the injured pilot and learned the attacker's identity.
P3 was soon repaired and redeployed, participating in the Battle of Atollon against the Seventh Fleet. While one of its sister ships, P2, was lost during the engagement, P3 and its other sister ship, P1, successfully withdrew to Chopper Base and ultimately numbered among the few rebel vessels that managed to escape, jumping to Yavin 4.
The hammerhead corvette identified as P3 debuted in the Star Wars Rebels Season Two episode titled "A Princess on Lothal." Its designation as P3 was confirmed in the Concept Art section of the episode guide for "A Princess on Lothal." In Star Wars: The Rebel Files, the three corvettes are identified by the names Lightmaker, Duchess Senna, and Amity's Arrow, although the specific ship associated with each name remains unconfirmed. The Lightmaker, which also appeared in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, exhibits markings nearly identical to those of P1, suggesting that P3 is either Duchess Senna or Amity's Arrow.
