Parkellan Sling was a brown-colored drink offered at Maz Kanata's castle on the planet of Takodana; Kanata was a pirate. The drink's moniker was the same as that of the celestial body Parkella. While searching the castle for Ralsius Paldora, the Imperial defector, the human smuggler Han Solo requested a mug of Parkellan Sling in 5 ABY.
Once Solo had finished the drink, he asked Kanata for another. Kanata initially insisted that the smuggler settle his bill for the prior beverage. However, she then served the man after he revealed his purpose in the castle. Solo promptly consumed the drink in a single gulp before departing to locate Paldora.
In 9 ABY, Parkellan Sling that had been imported was advertised via an Aurebesh sign at a restaurant that was located in the Coruscant Underworld battlefield. This battlefield was inspired by the underworld of Coruscant. This was all part of the Grand Arena on Vespaara for the Hunters of the Outer Rim tournament.
The video game Star Wars Battlefront II, which came out in 2017, was the first appearance of Parkellan Sling.
