Paternok was an Eirami warrior who appeared human, identified as male, and possessed dark complexion along with braided hair. He went with Ambassador Cerox to the Summit on Jedha. While there, he visited Enlightenment and befriended Piralli, Moona, and [Kimbral](/article/kimbral], an E'roni soldier, before the Battle of Jedha commenced.
During the High Republic Era, Paternok participated as a combatant in the Eiram and E'ronoh War. In 382 BBY, Paternok's travels led him to the tapbar known as Enlightenment, where he first encountered the E'roni soldier, Kimbral.
Paternok, a male soldier of the Eirami, had dark skin. As a veteran of the Eiram and E'ronoh War, he harbored distrust toward the E'roni people.
Paternok's character was featured in the short story titled "Tales of Enlightenment: No Such Thing as a Bad Customer". George Mann was the author of the story, which was published in Star Wars Insider, specifically issue 217, on March 14, 2023. It was released as part of Star Wars: The High Republic's Phase II.
