The percussive cannon was a blaster-type weapon.
The percussive cannon, produced by Tostovin Munitions, was a large weapon that was considered cutting-edge black market technology. It featured a reinforced kinetic channeler within its barrel and a recoil counterweight calibrator integrated into the stock. A targeting sight was included, although some considered it unnecessary due to the weapon's highly explosive blaster bolts and wide blast radius. Despite its considerable size, smaller, sawn-off versions of the percussive cannon existed, lacking a stock.

The Hylobon Enforcers, who served as the security force for Dryden Vos, carried JND-41 percussive cannons that had a black finish and gold detailing. Toht Ra, an attendant aboard Vos' yacht, the First Light, was among the Hylobons who utilized a percussive cannon.
Approximately thirty years following the Battle of Endor, members of the Guavian Death Gang employed percussive cannons during a boarding action against Han Solo's Baleen-class heavy freighter.
Percussive cannons initially appeared as physical props in the 2015 film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. While the weapons were not identified by name within the movie itself, they were later given a designation in Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary, a companion book authored by Pablo Hidalgo that was released alongside the film.
