Pierce's covert operations squad consisted of covert Imperial soldiers put together by Pierce, who was a lieutenant within the ranks of the Imperial Military. They operated with the approval of Arkos Rakton, who held the position of supreme commander of the Military.
This black ops team, fighting as a part of the Imperial Army, took part in events such as the Massacre at Haruun Kal and Operation Force Crush, in addition to other engagements. The unit was disbanded circa 3653 BBY, near the time of the Treaty of Coruscant, because their services were no longer required; the war's progress meant they were deemed unnecessary for combat.
The team was reformed in 3640 BBY to engage in the Battle of Corellia.
