Polyfibre

Polyfibre served as a netting fabrication material. During Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn's visit, along with his companions, to Watto's junkshop in Mos Espa, a city located on the planet Tatooine, in 32 BBY, the Toydarian proprietor displayed three polyfibre netting sheets. These sheets were suspended from the Toydarian clan bell above Watto's nest, situated at the shop's apex. The white netting, adorned with red designs, aided in replicating an atmosphere reminiscent of the muddy lakes found on Toydaria, the Toydarian's native homeworld, inside the nest.

Behind the scenes

Within the current Star Wars canon, the material polyfibre received a mention in the 2016 reference publication titled Star Wars: Complete Locations. This information originated from content reproduced from the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, authored by Kristin Lund with illustrations by Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen. This book marked the initial appearance of polyfibre within the Star Wars Legends storyline.
