During the Imperial Era, Pomi Harchmak, a resident of Lothal, managed heavy equipment inventory for Pryce Mining. She maintained a separate account from the company's primary operational funds. After Governor Ryder Azadi implicated Arihnda Pryce's mother, Elainye Pryce, in embezzlement to pressure Arihnda into selling the company, Arihnda and Senator Domus Renking scrutinized security footage from a party Pryce Mining hosted two weeks prior, during a recent downturn in the company's finances.
Elainye Pryce, Arihnda's mother, stated that Pomi experienced digestive issues. Consequently, she left the party three times to visit the refresher. However, Arihnda suspected that she was instead accessing the central office cluster, granting her access to the entire inventory system. Despite the absence of unusual transactions in the company's financial records, leaving Arihnda uncertain of Pomi's culpability, she opted to place the blame for embezzlement on Pomi to exonerate her mother.
To impede Governor Azadi's access to the Pryce Mine and its valuable doonium deposit, Arihnda accepted Senator Renking's proposition to sell the mine to the Galactic Empire. In return, Arihnda and her family received offers for positions on Coruscant and Batonn, respectively.
