The power control room served as the central hub for managing and allocating electrical power to the Senate Building along with the Senate Office Building located on Coruscant. In the course of the Senate hostage crisis, individuals belonging to Cad Bane's team made their way into this room with the intention of disabling the power supply to the Senate Building. At that moment, the room contained a R5 unit, a 3PO-series protocol droid, a WED-15 Treadwell droid, and an LEP-series service droid. Subsequently, an IG-86 sentinel droid gained entry and eliminated all of the droids present, which then enabled Robonino to successfully disconnect the power.
