Two Project 32 members Around 3660 BBY, during the era of the Great Galactic War, the Republic Strategic Information Service executed a classified initiative known as Project 32. The project's precise objective remained shrouded in secrecy. However, it led to the creation of twelve nearly genetically identical Human female subjects - either clones or very similar relatives. These individuals received advanced facial implants that gave them instant access to the HoloNet. One of these subjects, known as Mako, for reasons not fully understood, found herself on the streets of Nar Shaddaa. There, she encountered Anuli, another individual with cybernetic enhancements, while possessing no recollection of Project 32. For two decades, those involved with the Project believed her to be deceased.
In 3642 BBY, during the Galactic War, another subject of Project 32, named Coral, turned against the project. She began a campaign to hunt down and eliminate everyone associated with it. Carteri, an SIS agent, encountered Mako and mistakenly identified her as Coral. Simultaneously, agent Izak was actively pursuing Coral with the assistance of two other Project 32 subjects. Mako managed to obtain Coral's holofrequency and contacted her, but Coral tricked her into a meeting with Izak on Dromund Kaas. The meeting went awry in a safe house located in Kaas City, and Mako and her bounty hunter companion were compelled to eliminate both girls to escape before Izak's arrival.
Mako delved further into Republic databases and discovered twelve birth certificates matching her DNA. Ten of these now had death certificates, indicating that she and Coral were the Project's only remaining survivors. She eventually contacted Izak directly, who informed her that the SIS had located Coral on Nar Shaddaa and cautioned her against interfering. Despite the warning, Mako and her companion traveled to Gudnem's Gadget Emporium and confronted Coral, who dismissed Mako as a "cheap copy." Shortly after, Izak and his team arrived and took Coral into custody. Izak promised Mako he would contact her later to explain everything, but he never did.
