The Queluhan Nebula was a type of nebula situated in the Wild Space area of the galaxy's Expansion Region. During 5 ABY, Fleet Admiral Gallius Rax advised the Shadow Council that he maintained command of an Imperial fleet within the Queluhan Nebula, alongside other forces located in areas like the Vulpinus Nebula, the Almagest, the Recluse's Nebula, the Ro-Loo Triangle, and the Inamorata. Subsequent to the Liberation Day attacks directed at the New Republic capital on Chandrila, Rax took command of the remaining Imperial fleets, issuing orders for them to gather above the planet of Jakku.
Following their loss in the Battle of Jakku and the subsequent signing of the Galactic Concordance, what remained of the once-mighty Imperial starfleet withdrew to the Queluhan Nebula; the ionized gases present there made it impossible for the New Republic's sensors to detect them, which allowed the Imperials to secretly build up a substantial fleet.
