A specialized type of security personnel, functioning as a law enforcement agency, were stationed on the planet of Raxus Secundus. These individuals were responsible for protecting the planet's senator during the decades leading up to the outbreak of the Clone Wars.
These security personnel were clad in blue, dark grey, and gold-colored armor. They wore a helmet that completely covered their face and utilized gold-colored claws as gloves. Every guard carried a highly ornate blaster pistol secured in a holster at their hip. In combat situations, some guards also employed a more powerful blaster.
Certain guards, such as Semage and Hanel, opted not to wear helmets. The Raxus guard also operated in conjunction with a battle droid force known as the Raxus Droids, who were armed with blaster rifles.
In the decades preceding the Clone Wars, a group of treacherous guards, led by Semage and Hanel, assassinated Jedi Master Katri with the intention of influencing the corrupt senator, Larik, to advance their political agenda within the Galactic Senate. However, upon the arrival of Jedi Mace Windu and Dooku to retrieve Katri's body, Senator Larik revealed the guards' conspiracy to the Jedi. As Larik sought refuge with the Jedi, the guards fatally shot him in the back, killing him. Subsequently, a confrontation erupted between the traitorous guards and the two Jedi. Despite emerging victorious, the Jedi were responsible for killing multiple guards, including Hanel. Semage was apprehended and confined within a facility on Raxus.
