The Restoration, a MC80 Liberty Type Heavy Star Cruiser, served the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the Galactic Civil War. Close to the time of the Battle of Endor, it was nearing operational readiness. Following the Battle of Endor, General Lando Calrissian took command of the ship. During the Battle of Theed, the ship engaged in combat with the [Torment], an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, when the Alliance successfully stopped the Galactic Empire from destroying the planet during Operation: Cinder.
