Reventine was a planet situated within the Seswenna sector of the Outer Rim Territories, located two star systems distant from Eriadu. In the year 228 BBY, Jedi Knights Bell Zettifar and Burryaga Agaburry, leading Republic Defense Coalition troops, hypothesized Reventine as the subsequent target for Nihil pirates under the command of Storm Melis Shryke. Contrary to their expectations, they instead encountered Jedi Master Avar Kriss, who had fled the Nihil-dominated region of realspace referred to as the Occlusion Zone aboard Shryke's vessel, known as the Cacophony.
Reventine was an inhabited planet located in the Seswenna sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Its position in space was two star systems away from the world of Eriadu.

In 230 BBY, the Nihil, a chaotic group of marauders, activated the Stormwall, which isolated several sectors of the Outer Rim from Nihil-controlled territory, the Occlusion Zone. By 228 BBY, the Stormwall had stretched to the point of dividing the Seswenna sector. This new edge was in proximity to both Eriadu and Reventine.
After the Stormwall's expansion, Bell Zettifar and Burryaga Agaburry, both Jedi Knights, along with Republic Defense Coalition technician Harlak, identified Reventine on a star map as the next probable target of Storm Melis Shryke's planned raid, and began formulating a plan to ambush Shryke and her forces. Shryke had indeed chosen the Seswenna sector as her next target for destruction, noting that it would be her first raid so far out and on such a populated place. However, Jedi Master Avar Kriss had commandeered Shryke's starship, the Cacophony, over the planet Seswenna before the mission could begin. Consequently, when the Cacophony appeared near Reventine, the Nihil were absent. Instead, the Jedi and Republic forces discovered Kriss, who had used hyperspace data from an EX droid to navigate through the Stormwall unscathed, with Shryke as her captive.
Reventine was displayed within the fictional universe on a map in The High Republic: The Eye of Darkness, a 2023 novel penned by George Mann as part of Phase III of The High Republic multi-platform project.
