Biography

Early life

The parents of Burryaga Agaburry

In his youth, Burryaga Agaburry was fearful of climbing the trees of his homeworld. His parents showed the young Wookiee the importance of perseverance, climbing alongside him and imparting a valuable lesson about courage.

Padawan of the Jedi Order

Burryaga became a member of the Jedi Order and was apprenticed to Jedi Master Nib Assek as her Padawan. In the year 232 BBY, Agaburry and his master took part in the rescue operation to save the Hetzal system during the Great Hyperspace Disaster. He discovered that some of the hyperspace anomalies that were threatening the worlds of the system were actually fragments of starship containing living people. While Jedi pilots tried to destroy the starship fragments, Burryaga felt the survivors' terror so intensely that it resonated throughout the Jedi Force network. Because of the language barrier, the other Jedi initially mistook these emotions for Burryaga's own and tried to remove him from the network. Ultimately, Burryaga's actions helped the other Jedi understand that there were survivors aboard the starship fragments.

One year following the Great Hyperspace Disaster, Burryaga and Nib Assek, his master, were present at the Republic Fair on Valo. During the Nihil assault on the fair, Burryaga provided assistance wherever he could.

Burryaga as a Jedi Padawan

When the Nihil sabotaged Starlight Beacon, Burryaga was present on the station. He found himself trapped on the lower section of Starlight Beacon, and later, along with his friend Bell Zettifar, discovered the body of his master, Nib Assek, who had been attacked by a Nameless. During the evacuation of the lower part of Starlight, Burryaga disappeared while fighting a rathtar and was presumed dead, though in reality, he had survived. Bell was certain that his friend was still alive and was determined to find him. Remaining on the planet of Eiram, Bell launched a search and, after several weeks, successfully located his friend.

Personality and traits

Burryaga tended to avoid social gatherings because most people could not understand his speech. However, while aboard the Galactic Republic medical frigate Panacea with the numerous patients from the Legacy Run, he was able to offer comfort to a young human boy named Serj Ukkarian.

Equipment

Burryaga wielded a lightsaber that had a blue blade and a physical crossguard on its hilt.
