Rod of Power

The Rod of Power represented a Force artifact that came into being when the Rod of Daybreak and the Rod of Seasons were combined. These two rods were part of a trio employed to govern the Nameless species. In contrast to the individual rods, the Rod of Power granted absolute dominion over the Nameless, an effect they could not resist. However, if the wielder was attempting to command numerous Nameless simultaneously, their inherent bloodlust provided a degree of resistance. Furthermore, in proximity to the Nameless, the Rod of Power could also inflict comparable effects on Force-sensitives.

During the events of the Battle of Jedha, which took place in 382 BBY, Werth Plouth, the Herald of the Path of the Open Hand cult, merged the Rod of Seasons with the Rod of Daybreak. He then performed a "test" by using it to command the Leveler, a member of the Nameless, to assassinate Jedi Master Leebon. Nevertheless, the Rod was once again separated into its two constituent parts during a subsequent confrontation with the Jedi. Elecia Zeveron, who held the title of Mother within the Path of the Open Hand, would later recombine the two Rods shortly before the Night of Sorrow. During the Night of Sorrow, she and Marda Ro, the Path's Guide, utilized the Rod of Power to unleash the Nameless upon the Jedi.

Following the battle, Marda departed with the Rod of Seasons, while her cousin Yana Ro, unbeknownst to her, secretly transported the Rod of Daybreak away. Consequently, Marda's descendants possessed only a portion of the complete rod, which was nevertheless passed down through the generations of the Ro family. Eventually, Marchion Ro, a descendant of Marda, managed to acquire both pieces of the Nameless control rod. In 228 BBY, while investigating the blight plague on the planet Vixoseph I, Marchion employed the Rod of Power to enter the blight zone without suffering any harm.
