Sabé's private quarters

Former Naboo Royal Handmaiden Sabé, who later became an Imperial Commander, had a private room on the Star Dreadnought Executor. In 3 ABY, Handmaiden Dormé sought Sabé's whereabouts and, with the assistance of the Imperial assassin Ochi, gained entry to Sabé's living space on the Executor.

Description

Located on the Star Dreadnought Executor, Sabé's private quarters served as her personal space when she transitioned from a Naboo Royal Handmaiden to a Commander within the Galactic Empire. The room, painted a sleek white, was furnished with a desk, a small table, and a pair of chairs. Inside, one could find Sabé's datapad, which she routinely reset to protect sensitive information. Her black armor, a gift from the Sith Lord Darth Vader, was also stored there, along with a stand for her DLT-20A blaster rifle. Despite its secure nature, the location of the quarters was known to Ochi, the Imperial agent and assassin, who was able to access it. Two stormtroopers, KA-336 and KV-222, were assigned as Sabé's personal guards and reported to her quarters when on duty.

History

Around 3 ABY, Dormé, another Naboo Handmaiden, impersonated Sabé and, with Ochi's help, boarded the Executor. The assassin then escorted Dormé to Sabé's private quarters in an attempt to discover the location of her latest mission. While Ochi attempted to retrieve data from Sabé's datapad, KA-336 and KV-222 arrived. Mistaking Dormé for their superior officer, the two stormtroopers entered the room and stood ready as Dormé began to question them.

Behind the scenes

The private quarters of Sabé were depicted in Darth Vader 29, the twenty-ninth installment of the 2020 canon comic book series Star Wars: Darth Vader. Greg Pak wrote the issue, Luke Ross and Federico Blee provided the illustrations, and Marvel Comics released it on November 30, 2022.
