The Safa Toma Classic stands as a significant Riot Racing competition, occurring during the early years of the Imperial Era on the planet of Serolonis. The Dowutin crime lord Grini Millegi was the overseer of this spectacle. Notably, Millegi provided his personal support to Jet Venim, the Nosaurian competitor.
Ciddarin Scaleback contracted the Bad Batch on Ord Mantell with the objective to steal as many war chests as possible from Castle Serenno, the residence of Count Dooku. Upon their arrival, the Galactic Empire had already taken control of the castle. The clones were unable to secure the treasure and were forced to retreat.
At a later point, while Hunter and Echo were in the process of delivering fifty cases of [nerf nuggets](/article/nerf_nugget], Scaleback requested that Tech, Wrecker, and Omega accompany her to Safa Toma. She stated that their unique skillsets and abilities were essential for her purposes.
They made their way to the Safa Toma Speedway, the venue for a prominent riot racing event. As Scaleback and the clones moved through the crowd, they witnessed the event firsthand. Scaleback revealed to Omega that she had her own racer, TAY-0, who she believed would generate significant profits for her.
Because Tech emerged victorious in the race, Milegi honored his promise and released Scaleback. Immediately after her departure, Milegi cautioned the clones, advising them not to trust Cid and to be wary of potential betrayals.
Subsequently, on Ord Mantell, Genoa convinced the Bad Batch to participate in another treasure hunt after Omega discovered a compass indicating the coordinates of the Kaldar Trinary system. Echo reminded them that their previous treasure hunt had been unsuccessful, but the team ultimately agreed to proceed. Their journey led them to the fabled Skara Nal, believed to be a city containing the Heart of the Mountain, a precious crystal of immense power. However, when Genoa found and removed the crystal, Skara Nal was revealed to be an ancient war machine that began to devastate the surrounding area. After Hunter pointed out that the Marauder was in danger of being destroyed, which would strand them all, she was persuaded to replace the stone. Once the Heart was replaced, both it and Skara Nal were destroyed for good. In the aftermath, Tech commented the team was now two for two regarding unsuccessful treasure hunts.
