Second skirmish over Sunrise

A brief conflict took place in the vicinity of the planet known as "Sunrise". This confrontation involved the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet against forces aligned with the Grysk Hegemony. This event transpired approximately 18 BBY, which was a mere two weeks following another skirmish between the same warring parties at the identical location.

Prior to the commencement of the skirmish, the vessels identified as the Vigilant and the Grayshrike encountered an asteroid missile platform positioned in an almost perfect circular orbit above Sunrise. This platform had not been present during their prior visit two weeks earlier. Subsequently, they encountered the same Unidentified Battle Dreadnought that was involved in the first skirmish over Sunrise, which exhibited damage to its port side weaponry and sensor arrays. The commander of the Battle Dreadnought issued a demand for the Chiss to vacate the area. He asserted that the planet below had been ravaged by the "evil" forces of the Nikardun Destiny. Furthermore, he informed the Chiss that the survivors of Sunrise's civil war had "begged" him to safeguard their planet from the Nikardun and other "scavengers". Admiral Ar'alani expressed skepticism towards this claim, and informed the commander that the Chiss had been invited to the planet by the Magys.

A clash then unfolded, involving the use of breachers, dibbers, plasma spheres, spectrum lasers, in addition to the asteroid missile platform. The outer layer of the asteroid missile platform exploded, triggered by the belief that it was under attack. Ar'alani engaged the Battle Dreadnought with her ship, the Vigilant, while simultaneously misleading the enemy commander into thinking that the Grayshrike was about to be destroyed by the asteroid missile launcher. Ar'alani inflicted damage upon the Battle Dreadnought from its starboard side, while Lakinda eventually launched an attack on the already compromised port side.

Ar'alani made an attempt to extract information from the damaged enemy vessel. In response, the enemy launched a missile that resulted in the destruction of the asteroid missile platform. Following this, the enemy initiated a self-destruct sequence, which caused the Battle Dreadnought to disintegrate into small fragments. These fragments had minimal impact on the Chiss warships upon collision.
