The Security Bureau functioned as the security-focused governmental arm of the Land & Sky Corporation. The Xia family, one of the four great families holding sway over the Land & Sky corporation board of directors, primarily managed this bureau. Under the leadership of Xia Yan, the bureau chief, it commanded a well-organized and armed security force responsible for patrolling the entirety of the star system. Xia had authority over all of the bureau's divisions, which were strategically positioned across key regions within the Aakaash system, including the political capital planet Land, the financial hub Wind, the Lake asteroid field, and the farming world of Mountain.
