Shai Tennem

Shai Tennem, a Bith male, held the positions of administrator and overseer during the construction phase of the Starlight Beacon space station. Upon the station's completion, the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic convened a conclave to celebrate its inauguration, during which Tennem was adamant about showcasing every aspect of its construction to the visiting parties. While leading a tour for prominent figures, including various Jedi and Republic Admiral Pevel Kronara, Tennem's group came across technicians Joss and Pikka Adren. These technicians were in the process of identifying and rectifying a last-minute issue they had discovered within the station's power infrastructure. Tennem proceeded to introduce the Adrens to the dignitaries, elaborating on the nature of their work. Joss, however, suspected that the administrator's intention was to involve them in the ongoing tour. Fortunately, Jedi Padawan Burryaga Agaburry and his Master, Nib Assek, intervened, allowing the Adrens to resume their critical tasks. The delay that Tennem caused in the dignitaries' departure frustrated Kronara. However, it also inadvertently enabled the Jedi and the Republic to utilize the cruiser Third Horizon, while en route to Coruscant, to launch a rescue operation aimed at saving the Hetzal system from the space debris resulting from the Great Hyperspace Disaster. Jedi Master Avar Kriss, reflecting on Tennem while coordinating the rescue efforts, mused that the Force sometimes operates in mysterious ways, even through the actions of officious Bith administrators.
