During the era of the Clone Wars, a quest to apprehend the crime lord Ziro the Hutt culminated in a confrontation on the planet Teth. This face-off involved the bounty hunter Cad Bane against two Jedi: Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Knight Quinlan Vos. Each party sought Ziro, who had previously eluded capture from both the Galactic Republic and the Grand Hutt Council. However, they discovered him dead on Teth, having been murdered by Sy Snootles under the orders of Jabba the Hutt. The Jedi then fought Bane, aiming to capture him for his previous actions involving the Galactic Senate hostage, but the bounty hunter managed to get away.
