Slyther Bushforb, a blue-complected Nuknog, engaged in lively conversation with Oby Bobissia, a Triffian, just outside Dex's Diner. This occurred within the CoCo Town section of the planet Coruscant in 22 BBY. Following the entrance of Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi into the diner, Bushforb entered as well and proceeded to occupy a booth with Rednax and Seboca, both Dugs. Notably, Seboca was a star known for their holovid appearances. Their discussion continued until Seboca departed, at which point Bushforb and Rednax continued their dialogue. While present at the diner, Bushforb was attired in a white shirt, a brown coat, brown trousers, and black footwear.
The creation of Slyther Bushforb took place on May 16, 2002 for the prequel trilogy movie, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. The character was a modified version of the animated model initially designed for Ark Roose, a character featured in the 1999 prequel film, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. The animation work for the scenes set in Dex's Diner was carried out between April and May of 2001, with the final rendering of the character being completed that summer.
Within the established Star Wars canon, Pablo Hidalgo of the Lucasfilm Story Group verified Bushforb's name via a Twitter post on January 27, 2022. The name's origin lies in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where Slyther Bushforb's identity was revealed before the movie's release in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #46, a March 7, 2002 publication on the HoloNet News website, part of the film's promotional campaign. This article was a collaborative effort by Hidalgo and Paul Ens.
