Originally, the Tales of Wild Space comic was intended to feature Yoda narrating an anecdote from his younger years, as indicated in the initial announcement. However, the published story, "The Flat Mountain of Yavin," centers on Evaan Verlaine, a character first seen in the Star Wars: Princess Leia comic, authored by Mark Waid, illustrated by Terry Dodson, and released by Marvel Comics.
