Star Wars Forces of Destiny: Volume 1 constitutes the initial television special derived from the Star Wars Forces of Destiny animated micro-series. This special presented eight episodes from the series, with four of them being newly created for this release. The special also incorporated narrative segments provided by Maz Kanata to connect the episodes. Its debut occurred on October 1, 2017.
