The Mark II Starhawk-class Battleship represented a battleship class utilized by the New Republic's navy as it rose to prominence. Functioning as a part of the Starhawk-class ship lineage, the Mark II followed both the original prototype and the Mark I. These Starhawks were constructed using salvaged components from Galactic Empire Star Destroyers, exhibiting a distinctive hatchet-shaped frontal hull design. The Mark II featured several deflector shield generator domes atop its mast, alongside engines located on its elongated aft section and the rear portion of its frontal structure. This warship was armed with a Magnite Crystal Tractor Beam Array comprised of six tractor beam projectors encircling a frontal hangar. A Starhawk-class Battleship Mark II was observed in proximity to the New Republic ecumenopolis of Hosnian Prime, escorted by a minimum of seventeen X-wing starfighters. This particular Starhawk was adorned with the New Republic's blue and yellow colors, including the starburst insignia displayed on its starboard side.
Fantasy Flight Games unveiled the Starhawk-class Battleship Mark II on November 19, 2019, through an article titled "Rebel Might" on their official website. This announcement coincided with the introduction of their Nadiri Starhawk Expansion Pack for the Star Wars: Armada miniatures game. JB Casacop provided the artwork for the Mark II, which was named "Hosnian Prime Fleet Parade."
