Tadd Marteens, a male human, served within the ranks of the Rebel Alliance. Following the Battle of Yavin, Tadd journeyed to the planet of Tibrin as part of a diplomatic mission alongside fellow Rebels Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Jaahn Liddle. While on this mission, Tadd tried to hurl a grenade at a squad of stormtroopers, but a stormtrooper shot him in the hand, causing the grenade to drop. This resulted in Skywalker being knocked to the ground and then captured by the stormtroopers.
The initial appearance of Tadd Marteens was in "The Trouble at Tibrin," which was the primary narrative in Star Wars Adventures (2017) 4. Within that story, Tadd was only known by his given name. Landry Q. Walker, the author, subsequently shared additional details about Tadd via Twitter: his last name, Marteens; his background as a farmer hailing from Stewjon; and his role as an A-wing pilot for the Alliance, an organization he joined after the Battle of Yavin.
