A human named Tannon Praji held the position of First Minister within the Coruscant Ministry of Ingress. This organization was responsible for managing the influx of immigrants onto Coruscant, the capital of the Galactic Republic. In the year 19 BBY, Praji was present at the Galaxies Opera House on Coruscant, where he enjoyed a performance of Squid Lake, a ballet put on by Mon Calamari performers. For the opera performance, the minister chose to wear robes of black along with a headpiece of gold. As the Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker ascended the stairs of the building, Praji was seen walking by the entrance to the opera house accompanied by another human. Once inside, Praji took a seat in a box along with five other humans, which was located next to the box occupied by Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. Minister Praji's physical characteristics included fair skin, hair of black, and eyes of a brown hue. Notably, the minister shared a last name with both Commander Praji, an Imperial officer, and the affluent House Praji originating from the Core Worlds.
Tannon Praji made an appearance in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, a film belonging to the prequel trilogy that premiered on May 19, 2005. The character was a cameo role played by visual effects supervisor John Knoll. Knoll had previously portrayed Irya Kirsch in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, a prequel film released in 1999.
Within the established Star Wars canon, Tannon Praji's identity was confirmed in "Pushing Boundaries," an interview of Knoll by Brandon Wainerdi featured in Star Wars Insider 217 on March 14, 2023. The name itself originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where Zack Bossan conceived it as part of the character's history through the "What's The Story?" segment of StarWars.com's Hyperspace feature, published on August 12, 2005.
