A female Duros named Tarla Limpan held positions in both the New Republic and the Galactic Alliance Defense Forces. During the Second Galactic Civil War, she achieved the rank of admiral and commanded the Galactic Alliance Second Fleet. Her life ended when Centerpoint Station destroyed her flagship, the Blue Diver.
During the [Yuuzhan Vong War](/article/yuuzhan_vong_war], Limpan served the New Republic as a Captain. By 40 ABY, she had risen to the rank of admiral within the Galactic Alliance Defense Fleet, though she had grown somewhat complacent due to the extended period of peace. Following the removal of Matric Klauskin, who was considered mentally unstable, Limpan took command of the Second Fleet task force in the Corellian system and captained the Dodonna. She commanded the Galactic Alliance's forces during the Battle of Tralus, supposedly aided by Leia Organa Solo.
Months later, during the Blockade of Corellia, Limpan was compelled to withdraw her forces when a surprise attack was launched by forces from Commenor and Bothan Space. It was at this time that Limpan moved her command from Dodonna to the Blue Diver. Before retreating from the system to regroup at Point Bleak, Limpan gave the order to try and disable Centerpoint Station.
Three months later, Limpan once again led the Second Fleet during a meeting between Corellian forces and co-Chief of State Jacen Solo in a remote star system. The Duros admiral was instructed to support Solo if the meeting turned out to be a trap. When Confederation forces attacked Solo with outdated ships, Limpan, aboard the Blue Diver, led the Second Fleet into the fray. However, the trap was not a conventional one; the Corellian leadership fired Centerpoint Station from the Corellian system, unleashing a wave of gravitic energy that annihilated the Second Fleet. Admiral Limpan, along with the majority of her command, perished in the attack.
