"The Padawan Path" marks the fourth installment in the inaugural season of the Star Wars Forces of Destiny animated micro-series. Its debut occurred on July 6, 2017. The narrative of this episode is situated between the The Clone Wars: Season Three episodes "Hunt for Ziro" and "Heroes on Both Sides", with a primary focus on the character of Ahsoka Tano.
Having concluded her patrol duties within the urban expanse of Coruscant, Ahsoka is proceeding towards the Temple, where both Anakin and Yoda await her arrival to commence a scheduled ceremony.
In her haste to reach the temple, she overhears a cry for assistance emanating from within the surrounding crowd. Following the sound, she observes a female Aleena and her child under assault by a malfunctioning droid. Utilizing the Force, she attempts to topple the droid by telekinetically pushing several crates, but this proves ineffective. Consequently, she activates her lightsabers. As the droid advances, she notices water pipes positioned overhead within the alley and devises a strategy. She dashes towards the droid, severing one of its legs with her lightsaber, then leaps upward to sever the aforementioned water pipes. The resulting deluge of water causes the droid to shut down. Confirming the well-being of the mother and child, she recalls her tardiness for the ceremony and hastens to the temple.
She gets to the training grounds close to the Great Tree, where Anakin and Yoda are waiting. While Anakin reprimands her for her lateness, Master Yoda remarks that Ahsoka has demonstrated humility and bravery, interpreting this as a sign of her growing maturity. As the ceremony gets underway, he declares that she is progressing appropriately on her journey to becoming a Jedi Knight, and grants her an extension to her Padawan braid.
